I have been using GEOREKA for around 18 months.  I initially decided to obtain a licence for use in my independent consulting practice and have continued to maintain my licence privately since returning to work in the corporate world earlier this year.

GEOREKA has become an integral part of my geological interpretation toolbox.  It’s easily one of the most innovative and effective geological interpretation and modelling applications that I’ve come across in 43 years as a geologist working both in mineral exploration and mining. 

The key features of GEOREKA for me are its ability to provide deep analysis of geological data, identify characteristics that potentially define regions of similar geological, geochemical or geophysical characteristics that may be used to define domains.  This provides a basis for rapid modelling of data using a suite of different modelling techniques. 

The software enables different models representing different interpretations to be quickly produced in a consistent, rigorous manner, in a way that gives me more time to think about what the models are telling me about the deposit and optimise my modelling workflow to reflect the deposit’s characteristics that may be further refined to provide robust interpretations based on all available data.

I like that GEOREKA’s algorithms are suited to both modelling of sparse and relatively dense data, making the software valuable in both early stage and detailed project work.

GEOREKA is easy to get data into to work with, and extract models from to use in conjunction with other geological and mining applications.

The support and training materials for GEOREKA are excellent and are being constantly improved in ways that enable users to get the most out of a very capable software package.  These help me to find new ways of using the software to solve real geological and resource evaluation problems.

GEOREKA is software that I would not be without that anyone involved in mineral resource evaluation will benefit from having access to, and learning how to make the most of what it delivers.
